What a wonderful weekend of music making

What wonderful audiences for a weekend of music making with two very successful concerts last weekend in Benalla on Saturday evening, and Wangaratta on Sunday afternoon.
It was great to have a capacity audience in Wangaratta and very pleasing numbers in Benalla as well. It is always a joy to perform for an appreciative audience and that was the case in both venues.
Many thanks to our instrumentalists who really had to work hard in some of the items. Their playing adds so much to the whole performance.
The choir is now looking forward to repeating the program this weekend in Geelong as part of the Sacred Music Festival.

Great Concert Rehearsal

A great rehearsal last night with our accompanist Margaret Phillips and members of the Neo Quartet – Benalla present.  Musical Director, Malcolm Halford, was able to concentrate on getting the choir to respond to all the fine detail required to produce a really good sound.

It’s exciting when it all comes together after weeks of rehearsing this beautiful music.

New Choir Year Begins

Last night (Wed) members of Vocal Dimension had a very enjoyable first rehearsal for 2017, almost all members were able to attend, as well as one returning singer and a new alto.

All were welcomed by Musical Director, Malcolm Halford, who quickly set us to work on a beautiful selection of sacred music items. Some of these were familiar to many of the singers and others were completely new providing an interesting challenge.

It’s not too late to join in, so if you are interested come along at 7.30 pm next Wednesday to the CWA Hall, 17 Templeton Street Wangaratta. New singers are most welcome.

2017 Choral Season

Did your New Year resolutions include joining a choir? Why not give us a try? We enjoy singing great music and we have a lot of fun. Choir practice starts on Wednesday 1 February at the CWA Hall in Templeton Street, Wangaratta.
