Wonderful 3 Choirs Festival

Awesome, wonderful, lovely, were comments from some of the 300 who packed the cathedral for the 3 choirs concert yesterday. Exhilarating, euphoric. amazing were comments from some of the 64 singers and 30 musicians who made the cathedral roof reverberate.

Four months of hard work came together under the magic baton of conductor Jackson Harnwell and the encouragement of the three musical directors, Hugh Fullerton, Magaret Phillips, and Malcolm Halford.

Wonderful day at the Geelong Festival of Sacred Music

Wonderful day yesterday. Gathered for lunch at Steampocket before the concert.

All Saints, Newtown, Geelong was the venue for the concert as part of the Geelong Festival of Sacred Music.

It was a joy to sing in such a beautiful church to the appreciative audience which filled it. AND we were given a great afternoon tea afterwards.

Thank you All Saints!

What a wonderful weekend of music making

What wonderful audiences for a weekend of music making with two very successful concerts last weekend in Benalla on Saturday evening, and Wangaratta on Sunday afternoon.
It was great to have a capacity audience in Wangaratta and very pleasing numbers in Benalla as well. It is always a joy to perform for an appreciative audience and that was the case in both venues.
Many thanks to our instrumentalists who really had to work hard in some of the items. Their playing adds so much to the whole performance.
The choir is now looking forward to repeating the program this weekend in Geelong as part of the Sacred Music Festival.

Great Concert Rehearsal

A great rehearsal last night with our accompanist Margaret Phillips and members of the Neo Quartet – Benalla present.  Musical Director, Malcolm Halford, was able to concentrate on getting the choir to respond to all the fine detail required to produce a really good sound.

It’s exciting when it all comes together after weeks of rehearsing this beautiful music.
