Our latest concert series is here.

This Is The Day!

Wangaratta:- Saturday 14 May 7.30pm. Wangaratta Uniting Church Hall, Rowan Street.

Benalla:- Sunday 15 May 3.00pm. Benall Town Hall, Nunn Street.

Tickets at the door: Adults $15 (18 and under Free)

Light refreshments will be available after the concert.

The concert features a range of songs from the 17th to the 20th century. Handel, Mendelssohn, Schubert and Fauré together with 20th century composers John Rutter and Morten Lauridsen bring a variety of styles and moods in music of great appeal and variety. Coupled with some excerpts from Carl Orff’s masterpiece “Carmina Burana” this concert will bring you music to lift your spirit. Come and join us to hear songs of hope and trust.

Choir Year Begins for Vocal Dimension

vocal dimension choir rehearsalsThe Vocal Dimension choir year for 2016 begins this Wednesday February 3.

Vocal Dimension members are requested to attend the commencement of rehearsals for the coming year as we build toward our first concert series in May. A draft program has already been released.

Prospective members are invited to join us for this opening evening of rehearsals, new singers pay nothing for the first full term then after that period a membership fee of $8 per week applies.

Enthusiastic audience for Christmas concerts

Singers Enthusiasm

singers enthusiasm vocal dimensionAs promised, our Christmas concerts were a joy to sing and, according to our enthusiastic audience, a pleasure to hear. One seasoned concert audience member said that the singers enjoyment of the music was so obvious it enlivened the entire concert.

 

Another audience member commented on the beautiful contribution by the North East Occasional Ensemble which gave added depth and grace to the Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Vaughan Williams.

All in all it was a wonderful way to end our first year as Vocal Dimension and to begin the festive season in good spirits.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Concert – Christmas, Rejoice!

Our next performances are the ever-popular December series of Christmas music. More than just carols!
This year the North East Occasional String Ensemble join us in presenting Vaughan Williams’
well-known Fantasia on Christmas Carols, featuring local tenor soloist Robert Boyd.
It’s a rare treat to hear this work performed live.

 

 

Concert Performances

Friday December 11th, 8.00 pm at the Benalla Town Hall.

Saturday December 12th, 8.00 pm at the Wangaratta Uniting Church, Rowan Street Wangaratta.

Tickets at the door. Adults $15, 18 and under free.

A light supper will be available after the performances.
